Influence of Wind Barriers with Different Curvatures on Crosswind Aerodynamic Characteristics of a Train-Bridge System

Wind barriers can effectively reduce the risk of overturning and derailment high-speed trains running on a bridge under crosswind. However, it adversely affect wind resistance bridge. There are few studies aerodynamic performance curved barriers. In this paper, effects with four curvatures (0, 0.2, 0.35, 0.50) different train-bridge combinations crosswind characteristics system investigated. The results show that barrier significantly speed below certain height deck. small curvature better force train; however, greatly increases A 0.35 is recommended because takes into account train at same time. porosity influences track windward side bridge, while has little leeward less affected by whether or not present.
